Woo... hoo...

found out that lucky me get's to live with an RA in the fall. Which means no alcohol since I live on campus and it's a dry campus (which is an absolutely ridiculous rule for grad students and I'm 22...). I'm not sure how to take this news since I found out during the middle of a tornado warning and it's not like it's party central here anyway with only other med students in the apartment. To beat all, I won't be around when everyone else moves in as it's my one free weekend for the entire summer and I'm going back to Iowa to see my parents I haven't really seen in six months and maybe beat Mark in Halo or Soul Calibur. Hopefully the new roomies won't feel compelled to rearrange the kitchen or the bathroom while I'm gone 'cause that would majorly suck.

Oh well, better get rid of the Heineken now.

For Some odd reason I now want to watch the Incredibles--which I don't own--so I'm going to watch more law and order (which is always on) since I'm too lazy to go to walmart tonight.

July 4th, 2005

Spent the day doing homework/studying. Not exactly how everyone wants to spend their fourth of July holiday--but hey, guess that's what I get for signing myself up for graduate school. Have a test at the end of the week that I'm scared of because the professor tends to pick questions from things we haven't studied or that 'you're supposed to know that'. Not to mention the other classes I need to do work for.

Found an interesting article about what might possibly be accomplished by science within the next couple of decades http://www.sciencemag.org/cgi/content/full/309/5731/78b . Surprised myself with how much I actually understood some of the concepts that were listed (of course no math ones but that's not really a huge surprise considering my huge lack of advanced math skills). I might even subscribe to the magazine considering how much they pricked my interest even though I probably won't have time to read it.

Anyways, off to do homework and maybe eventually write some fanfic.
